Pharmaceutical Compounding Process Control Software

Compounding is the creation of a pharmaceutical preparation to meet the unique needs of an individual patient when a commercially available drug does not meet those needs. Compounding is made based on a medical doctor’s prescription in which individual ingredients are mixed in the exact strength and dosage as needed to treat the illness and this process must be tightly monitored and control.

This In-Progress Compound iOS app designed and built by Vidaltek is used for this purpose. The Pharmacist would log in at the beginning of the process, scan the ingredient barcode ID, and take pictures of all ingredient containers used in the making of the compound (all of them will be checked against the database in a remote server), then submit for approval via the app when done. There is another web app where the head pharmacist can review and approve the compound for final dispensing the compound to the patients.
